Categories describe what a creation is for. Editions describe where it runs. Content format describes what you receive. A creation may belong to several categories.

Editions are not interchangeable

A command written for Java Edition will often fail in Bedrock. Every creation records the edition it targets, the versions it was tested on, and the platform it was built for.

Content formats

The format tells you what you are installing: a single command, a command block system, a function file, a datapack, or an attached archive.
